Science – Electricity and Electrical Devices Unit – Assignment 1 (25 marks)

Use your creativity to come up with some sort of design for a system that undergoes at least one energy transformation.

Choose from either Option A or Option B:

Option A:

Your assignment is to build a machine that demonstrates a transformation of energy. You can use arts and crafts materials, elastics, even batteries and wires! All your machine has to do, is… DO something.

Curricular Learning

Language Arts

We will start our first novel called “On My Honor” by Marion Dane Bauer and the will learn how to work with novel’s elements and structure during our Literacy Block.


We will start a new unit on Fractions. We will be using shapes to identify quarters, halves and whole numbers.


In Science, we are going to be working with the elements of energy and its importance.

Social Studies 

We’ll be traveling to our new destination, a new unit about the Asian continent, its history and regions.
