Character Trait of the Month: Initiative

This week, we will introduce short stories based on legends and fables. Towards the end of the week, we will review several aspects such as main ideas, biographies, summaries, poetry, etc.
We will work on geometry and polygons. Classifying and identifying 2-D shapes. Be ready to practice several features in math from last two quarters.
This week we will be learning about properties of air and the laws of motion. We will also review last three units for your upcoming science exam.
This week we will start traveling to the smallest continent of the world, Australia.

· Please make sure students have a PROTRACTOR SET for their math class since we are working on measurement, geometry and polygons.
· Please review your students Communication Book for the most up-to-date information on assigned homework.
· Please read 20 minutes with your child every day!
· Since it is winter, the H1N1 virus is floating around. Please ensure students do not attend school if they are sick.
