Curricular Learning

Language Arts 

We will be finishing off legends this week. We will also present our final copies of our legends to the class. Final copies must be typed and submitted by Monday, Feb 27.

Math 

We will learn different strategies for multiplying and dividing two-digit by two-digit equations. Please make sure that the multiplication chart is memorized.

Science 

In Science, we will review the four principles of flight: lift, drag, weight, and thrust. We will then look at how to make the perfect paper planes.

Social Studies 

We will be presenting our assigned European countries to the class. Please make sure pamphlets are completed.

Important Dates:

March 2nd – Sports Day

March 6thYoung Author’s Day

March 16th – Dress as a character from a story Day

Notes:                                            

·       Please review your students Communication Book for the most up-to-date information on assigned homework.

·       Please read 20 minutes with your child every day! This will improve their reading skills!

·       Please help your child memorize the multiplication chart everyday.

Important Reminders:

v Timely Arrival – Grades 5 – 6 @ 7:15 a.m. (Note:  Any student arriving after 7:30 will be marked late.)

v Timely Pick-up:  Grades 5 – 6 @ 2:30 p.m. (Note: After 2:45, students will be brought to the late room.)

v A reminder that the CBS uniform must be worn every day. P.E. uniforms must also be worn, including running shoes.
